AMF Media Group Overview

AMF Media is looking for an agile, conceptual, creative with a strong background in graphic design. The Art Director is responsible for one's own design projects while working with and overseeing a Senior Graphic Designer. They will be expected to help conceptualize and bring campaigns to life. The ideal candidate will have an open mind to work in all communication mediums (i.e. websites, print, television) while working for and assisting the Creative Director.

Role Summary

  • Helps graphic designers’ development and execute projects — both interactive and print design — under the guidance of the Creative Director
  • Works collaboratively with designers in the creation of projects like email campaigns, websites, all print mediums and OOH.
  • Works closely with the account team to ensure that the creative work will achieve the client’s strategic target audience and communication objectives
  • Establishes brand-appropriate creative approaches and keep designs looking consistent with client’s brand
  • Attend kick-offs and creative briefings for each new design project and make sure designers are clear with the content
  • Participates in client meetings, creative discussions, strategy discussions, and development of presentations
  • Clearly articulates design decisions that are backed up with strategic supporting evidence, insight, and rationale
  • Work on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
  • Generate clear ideas, concepts and designs of creative assets from beginning to end within deadlines
  • Stay on top of all trends and maintain best practices
  • Create mood boards to accompany video scripts and design end slates and video graphics in Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Stay on top of deadlines and make sure designers do as well

Job Specifics and Requirements

Required Education and Experience

  • College or university degree in visual communication/graphic design/art direction
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience as a graphic designer and/or art director (agency experience preferred; marketing background a plus)
  • Strong organizational, communication and conceptual thinking skills, as well as attention to detail
  • Team player and self-starter with a passion for design and finding smart solutions to complex problems
  • Is an experienced multitasker and is not intimidated by the thought of juggling multiple projects and tasks at once
  • Can translate strategy into design across print, web, mobile and video
  • Online portfolio
  • Strong presentation skills to both internal and external clients
  • Expert-level proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proficiency with Mac
